Draft. This policy must be reviewed by a Canadian lawyer before this site receives traffic.
This policy explains what personal information Attests collects through attests.ca, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. Attests is operated by Ravi Chaudhari in Toronto, Ontario. Questions: info@attests.ca.
Through the enquiry form on this site we collect: your full name, email address, phone number, what your payment is for, an approximate amount range, your intended timeframe, and any message you choose to add.
We do not collect identification documents, bank details, account numbers, your Social Insurance Number, or your date of birth through this website, and the form accepts no file uploads. Any such information is gathered later, directly with you, over a secure channel.
We use Vercel Analytics to count page visits. It does not set cookies and does not identify you. This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
We use your information only to respond to your enquiry and, if you decide to engage us, to carry out the documentation service you have asked for.
Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), our basis for handling this information is your consent, which you give when you submit the form.
Form submissions are delivered to us by email and held on encrypted servers located in Canada. Access is limited to Ravi Chaudhari.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We may share information with service providers who help us operate this business — for example our email and hosting providers — under confidentiality obligations, and only as needed. We may also disclose information where required by Canadian law.
If you make an enquiry and do not become a client, we keep your information for up to 24 months and then delete it.
If you become a client, we keep records relating to the work for seven years to meet standard record-keeping expectations.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see below.
Under PIPEDA you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@attests.ca and we will respond within 30 days.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent version.
